Enjoy "Ei" with Awaji Island milk!

Awajishima Milk Bread on the Hill" was introduced in Kobe Shimbun!
The Onaruto Bridge Memorial Museum, a tourist facility in Fukura, Minami-Awaji City, has begun selling "Milk Bread on the Hill" made from Awaji Island milk. The bread is shaped to resemble a milk carton and is expected to take root as a new local product. The new product has been planned by Uzunokuni Minami-Awaji, the museum's operator, since last fall. While the company has developed local burgers and other products in the past, it has rarely worked on sweets, and the new product was developed through a process of trial and error as a new highlight for tourists. The bread will be produced and sold at a booth set up in a corner of the museum. The bread is about the same size as a 200-milliliter milk carton, and comes in milk and coffee milk flavors. Both breads are fluffy in texture and feature a subtle milk flavor with a moderate sweetness. The expiration date is about three days. The dough hardens when the product is cooled after being brought home, giving it a different texture. The company also expects that tourists who purchase the product will take pictures of it and enjoy the "reflection" of the product on social networking sites (SNS). A special mold was purchased to create the milk carton shape. The price is 550 yen including tax. The bread with cream in between is priced at 600 yen.
