In this interview, we asked Mr. Miyaji, who serves as both general manager and director of UZUNOKUNI MINAMIAWAJI, what he finds rewarding and important about working at UZUNOKUNI MINAMIAWAJI Co.

Q: As a director, you are involved in a wide range of our company's businesses.
In the past, I found it rewarding to work as a team to create content and to be recognized through media outreach. Since becoming a board member, I find it rewarding to create an environment and support employees to materialize their ideas. However, I still love "creating something together"!
Q: What exactly do you mean by "creating an environment and support for employees to give concrete shape to their ideas"?
To be more specific about creating an environment, I would say, "Don't know too much.
Do not complain or over-interfere in the process where employees are thinking hard and creating content. It is important to watch over them. And we feel it is best to support them with the least amount of pointers and advice necessary.
In doing so, employees may suddenly share "good content" with us. I am impressed by this. I want all employees to take on challenges without fear of failure.
ーYou certainly feel that many people find it difficult to work if there is too much interference. It is easier to take action when there is a high degree of freedom.
Yes, it is. However, as long as you make a spontaneous suggestion or express a willingness to do something, such as "I want to do this! I want them to grow and move forward, valuing the process and investing in themselves as long as they express their willingness to do so.

Q: When it comes to expressing one's intentions, I believe that each person has his or her own strengths and weaknesses. What kind of support do you think is necessary for employees who are not good at it?
First, I think it is necessary to expand their view of the world of work together while focusing on their "strengths" in daily operations and tasks. It is also important, especially for younger employees, to think at a pace that is comfortable for each of them.
I see. Next, what is important to you in your work?
One cannot do anything alone."
For example, a business can only exist if everyone cooperates, including those who make products, sell things, and do PR. It may be obvious, but I cannot do anything alone; human resources are important.
ーーIt is important, isn't it? Finally, what do you think is important for all employees to work in a rewarding environment?
I think it's important to "have the conversation."
Through conversation, employees get to know each other and work with respect and appreciation. We believe that this leads to job satisfaction and enables us to achieve our internal goals.
I would like to continue to watch the moment when each employee's awareness changes for the better.
Thank you very much!
When Mr. Miyaji first joined the company, he was very grateful to his bosses who allowed him to challenge himself with many of the "I want to try this! He is truly grateful to his supervisor for allowing him to challenge himself with many of the "I want to try this!
Opportunities to shift to a better future may be hidden in casual work.
