In spring, we offer more than 300 delicious and cute items from Awaji Island, including fresh onions in season from Awaji Island, whitebait and wakame seaweed caught in the local waters boiled in tsukudani, original onion dressing and seasonings, and accessories with onion motifs. You can find unique souvenirs here. We also have Original stuffed character from the popular product "Shima Biscuits''.

Uzushio Science Museum

In the main content, the "Uzunetarium", you can see a hydraulic model that is rare in the world and can generate whirlpools in the same way as they do in reality. You can visually learn about how whirlpools work by linking images projected on the wall screen with a giant spherical screen hanging from the ceiling.

Otamage! Awaji Island 4th ball (Tama)

Awaji Island's love for onions is huge. The giant onion object ``Otama-negi'' measures 2.5 meters high, 2.8 meters in diameter, and weighs approximately 200 kg! Enjoy taking a commemorative photo with Otama Onion with Onaruto Bridge and Naruto Strait in the background! We also rent onion wigs.

Uzunooka Neon Street Tamaden

Otamage! Awaji Island 9th ball (Tama)

Approximately 30 pieces of neon art spread across a wall measuring approximately 10m wide x 1.6m high have appeared at the Uzunooka Onaruto Bridge Memorial Museum on Awaji Island. Its name is "Tamaden". The illustrations with motifs of Awaji Island's famous spots, culture, and ingredients are cute!

Uzunooka Sky Terrace

The terrace, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of Fukura Bay to the Naruto Strait, has been completely renovated into a wooden deck. The flat part is the Mihara Plain with its onion fields, and the stepped part is reminiscent of the rice terraces of Hokudan. A wooden pole called ``naru'' for hanging onions is threaded through the ceiling, creating a design typical of Awaji Island.

Shichitama piano

The memorable piano of Minami-Awaji City Mihara Shichi Elementary School, which closed at the end of March 2020, has been reborn as a street piano that anyone can play freely.
